Kendall has always been really good about letting me rip through her hair on a daily basis. I try my hardest to be soft - we try detangler, conditioner mixed with water, I always make sure her hair isn't just hanging in her face.....but no matter what I did - her hair was a chore every morning and I cannot blame her for dreading getting pig tails everyday. I kept telling her we could cut it but she said no so we continued with our hair combing morning ritual. Finally this weekend, we were at a birthday party and the birthday girl had a really cute shoulder length cut and Kendall actually told ME that she wanted her hair like that. I told her I'd make an appointment and I talked with her that it doesn't get long again overnight - and she still wanted it cut so Stacy cut about 4 inches off this afternoon. I love it and best of all Kendall loves it. Rob and I tried our hardest to get a cute picture of it - but she is at a stage where she poses which entails her throwing her head back a la Marilyn Monroe so you don't quite get the picture of her short hair - I'm hoping to catch her off guard tomorrow!!!!

how time flies
Brenym's 2 month appointment was today. I was excited to see how big he had gotten, but that excitement dissipated quickly when he screamed his face off when he got his shots. Ouch I forgot about how much they dislike those - and how much I dislike them! But our pediatrician said he is looking great - he said not to worry about the fact that he turns his head more to his right side than to his left - he will even it out eventually and that we just need to continue turning his head to the left and setting him so that he HAS to turn his head the other way. The strawberry on his head is also nothing to worry about and will go away by the time he's five. And I must discontinue calling him chubby boy because he is only a little over 11 pounds and that puts him in the 25th percentile. He's just a little guy I guess. I do not know about the little stuff because Kendall was usually off the charts!!!!!

blah blah blah
yikes - so I'm totally on the "health" train - but so far the happiness is not there. I forgot how uncomfortable my body is the first few times I start exercising again. I do, however, enjoy feeling the burn because I feel like the hard work and sweating weren't for nothing. It is frustrating that Rob and I can run the same workout on the treadmill and he burns about 100 more calories than I do. How unfair!
Our house will be eerily quiet for me this week. Kendall is enjoying a week at her dad's. I keep telling myself it's just a few extra days but I still might have to call her and say good night to her a few times. She's such a helper during the day so I don't know what we're gonna do without her..I guess I'll have to search for the pacifier by myself and sing a lullaby to him when he's crying. That is what she does. Now all she does is look at him and he does his whole body smile ~ arms and legs just moving all over and a huge smile on his face. I am surprised he has a smile at all these last few days since he has not pooped since F R I D A Y. When he finally let's loose - WATCH OUT. His two month check up is tomorrow so hopefully they will give us something else to try since the Karo syrup doesn't seem to be working.....he just smells like a big pancake. I wonder if they'll give him his shots if he still hasn't gone........

Health and Happiness
Rob and I had talked awhile back about a way for Kendall to get more interaction with kids her age as she was getting restless at home and bored playing with us all the time. Her and I go to McDonald's every Wednesday after dance and we are forever going to the mall to play at the treehouse. Rob and I also wanted to get ourselves healthier - so to kill two birds with one stone we joined the Y. They have an awesome KidZone for both the kids to be at and Rob and I are able to work out. Our first time was today (minus Kendall though) and we really like the kid area. It's wierd that at this point in Kendall's life I had been back to work for two weeks...Brenym just seems so young still for me to leave him and go to work. Though I'd love working part time right now - sometimes me and two kids ALL DAY wears on me. I need adults, conversation that doesn't involve Scooby Doo, diapers or breastfeeding!!!! When I am feeling overwhelmed I try really hard to remember how much I cried when I had to go back to work after Kendall and realize how lucky I am to be able to stay at home with both of my awesome children. But I will not sugar coat it and say I don't have my moments where I wish I was working and only had myself to take care of and feed. Wow - off on a tangent there......so the girls watching Brenym in the KidZone loved him and when we went to pick him up he was all smiles in a bouncer. The room where Kendall will go has a climbing thing just like McDonald's so I'm sure she will be ELATED the first time we go. And this way - I can actually burn some calories while she plays instead of consuming some calories......but oooh I can't resist chicken nuggets and fries! I am now on the hunt for a cute but comfortable swimsuit for the pool at the Y....so far nothing I have found is "breast feeding mom friendly"...if you know what I mean.
