another one opens. Or so we hope at our house! Rob and I are positive our marriage can get through anything. We have made it through a crazy 12+ months that is for sure! For those not aware yet....Rob lost his job last week. Luckily, his talkative, outgoing personality makes him great at networking and he knows TONS of people so he already has another job. And this one he actually ENJOYS and he can sleep til about 545 am instead of getting up at 315 and I must say I enjoy watching TV with him at night - not just with him sitting next to me sleeping....last wednesday was a crazy day for us to say the least. But we are working on getting our ducks in a row and quacking again and things are on the up and up now. Right now our only worry is health insurance. I'm not so worried for Rob and I but I'm hoping COBRA isn't outrageous for the kids. I couldn't handle the kids not having insurance. Last week I couldn't have began to type this without crying - but sh*t happens and we are gonna be fine.
Kendall has her last week of preschool this week. She has done and learned so much this year. The way she writes her name is adorable to me. I will take a picture and post it up here. She forgets the E and some of the letters are backwards...but Ang G tells me this is normal for her age so I'm not worried! She still says something funny on an almost daily basis....last weeks favorites are
1 ~ at dinner she looked at me and said "mom, where did Rob live before we got him?".....um - the pound honey!!
2~ at Meijer someone said something over the speaker and she looked at me totally serious and asked "momma, was that JESUS??" - yes it was and he said to sit yer booty down in that cart!!!
She has been playing with the neighbor boy who is 6 a lot and it has been great for her. Caleb is 6 but acts Kendall's age so they get along fairly well. He is a tattle taler and that drives me crazy b/c I think I tell him everyday that we don't tattle at our house unless there's blood involved :) ha - this coming from the QUEEEEEN of tattling when I was little. Now I just need to work on Kendall not telling him she won't play with him if he won't do what she wants. I keep telling her she needs to do what others want sometimes but it's hard for her b/c at home - Rob or I do what she wants all the time. So we have been trying to get her to do what WE want when we play - just so she can kinda see what it's like and we can talk her through it. And I was totally shocked when Caleb told Kendall he had to go potty and I didn't hear him go inside....so I turned around and he had whipped it out right next to their garbage can in the front yard and was letting go right then and there!!!!
I spoke too soon a few weeks back when I said Kendall didn't have a mean bone in her body when it came to her brother....last week he was "talking" while she was watching Scooby and he wouldn't be quiet so she "bopped" him on the head - twice....he let out a huge scream and she tried lying and said he hit himself......SUUUUUURRRREEEEE he did. But that only happened once and now when he cries if one of us isn't in the room the first thing she says is "i didn't hit him."
As for Brenym ~ he is getting so big so fast. He is very interested in what we are eating. He really likes cups with straws and he REALLY likes whipped cream! He still eats anything that comes near his mouth. His next appointment is June 16th and I can't wait to see how much he has grown. He is still a puking fool - and I don't want to fast forward his life....but I cannot WAIT until what goes in STAYS IN!!!! I love listening to him giggle at Kendall or at Rob. He tries talking back to us and it's just the best. I am really enjoying this stage because I know all too soon he will be crawling and then I will be super busy. He is almost sitting up on his own and if he could feed himself with a spoon - he would. He is constantly grabbing at the spoon when we feed him.

I've never been a clean person...
I mean, don't get me wrong - I shower daily....but I have no desire to do the dishes immediately, make the bed everyday or vacuum - unless people are coming over of course. :) And yes yes I know most of you who know me are thinking, well, um, you DON'T exactly work outside the home.....but call me a bad person if you wish....but I prefer to sit down and play princesses with Kendall or zerbert Brenym's belly than make sure the dishes we just used at lunch are washed, dried and put away. Sometimes I do it after they're in bed or sometimes, hold your breath.....I DO IT THE NEXT DAY...I know - i'm awful! But right now - the kitchen is driving me BATTY.....we get our new countertops on Saturday, which I'm excited for....but the process of taking the old one out, and the backsplash off and drywalling where the backsplash was....makes me actually WANT to do the dishes. But unfortunately, I have no sink. And everything that was on the counter, is now on our table. So until Saturday I will be using the bathroom sink or tub for dishes and we will be eating on our TV trays....I know I'll be super happy when it's done because I LOVE LOVE the granite we picked out for the counters.....but I would be even more happy if I could just snap my fingers and it all be done......oh well - guess I have more time to play princesses or "castle" as she now calls it! And my boppy is the castle.

the oil change place loves me

So this is not my exact vehicle....but closely resembles my new soccer mom ride.......we went for an oil change this afternoon - and those guys just love me....for those of you who don't know this was my aunt's van and has really been used as a "our car is broke can we use yours" kind of car since my uncle died......so nobody knows exactly how long it had been since it had an oil change....which my uncle kept up on but since he's been gone - nobody else has :) When he showed me the dipstick (he he)...it was bone dry. When he showed me the air filter - there was no way any AIR was getting through there and the boys actually said they were keeping it because they'd never seen one so bad! So 20 minutes later we now have a van with a new air filter with air flowing on through - and a van with some oil.....back to being the taxi driver that I am all week long!

Kendall's new friend
We brought dinner to some friends of ours last night. I baked brownies for dessert at EIGHT in the morning....do you know how hard it is for this girl to let a dessert sit all day and not eat even a bite??? They turned out great - minus the piece of plastic Jennifer found in the brownies!!! It was a piece of my spatula. Oh well - as the great parents we are, we quickly threw that batch of brownies out ate them and fed them to the kids. Their dogs had puppies and there is one lowly little girl puppy left waiting for her forever home to come back from Arizona.....Kendall was IN LOVE with this puppy (so were Rob and I), Lily just let Kendall hold her and she napped right in her arms! Hop over to my friends blog and start following her - she's HILARIOUS!!!!

Meeting grandpa Pell
Brenym and cousin Paige
Brenym and Grandpa Pell
Brenym looks so big to us lately - but while Rob's dad was holding him yesterday...he looked TINY compared to grandpa Pell's HUGE hands!!!! He was kind of fussing and grandpa took him from daddy and he calmed right down. Brenym has his grandpa's build - long torso and short legs. Rob's dad is over 6 foot or almost 6 foot.....but he wears the same length pant that Rob does - and we all know Rob is nowhere near 6 foot tall :) Brenym can wear up to 6-9 month tops but he still fits in his 0-3 month pants!!!
Brenym is rolling all over the place now. When he rolls from back to front - he makes a little squeel like he's absolutely pleased with himself. But then he kind of looks at me like "okay now what do I do". He has perfected his sleeping through the night skills and usually does between 9 and 10 hours THANK YOU.He is not a huge napper though - he takes little cat naps all throughout the day. Hopefully this will change - but hey he sleeps at night so beggars can't be choosers right? He will eat anything that I put in his mouth. Kendall would only eat baby cereal if it was mixed with breast milk - this boy eats it with either breast milk, water or formula. He doesn't care if there's fruit or veggies mixed in it - if it's on a spoon, he will eat it. Looks to me like he'll be a great eater like his sister, which is good because I do not run a restaurant at meal time and Kendall will attest she better at least TRY what's for dinner because otherwise there is no snack before bed. And I'm not super mean about food - she usually gets to decide what she has for lunch (I give her two choices and she gets to pick one) So far she tries everything and we haven't found A THING that she will not eat. She's not a huge broccoli fan - but she will eat it. Oh what else is B doing....he really gets laughing now......when we tickle him he just can't contain himself. All Kendall has to do is look at him and he smiles. He still spits up once in awhile all the time....which is seriously annoying but we do everything we can to curtail it and it doesn't stop. He's on a super high dose of Zantac.....if he gets formula it's the expensive kind with the rice starch in it to thicken it up....it doesn't matter - he still just spews it back at us. I yearn for the day that I can just put an outfit on him and not worry about a bib.....but for now he sports a bib with every outfit - so if anybody sees any bibs with cute sayings...lemme know cuz i'm sick of these boring ones he wears all the time! We really like the ones with a stretchy hole in the middle so we can just pull it right on over his head...but let's face it he wears about 5 bibs daily so we are not too picky - and neither is our new washing machine that definitely gets use every single day.
this is kendall on her new swingset....it was FINALLY done that day but she was going to daddy's house - but daddy let her quick try everything before they left - she was on cloud NINE and has been on the swingset every single day since. She just loves it. When it's really nice out she eats her lunch on the "pick a nick" table. She was pretty obnoxious a few weeks ago - but I found some new tricks and figured out that as long as she knows the plan for the next day she doesn't have a meltdown or throw a fit....it has made for a much smoother morning before school and dance class. She is a huge helper with her brother - and i am so thankful that she just loves him to pieces. She is always willing to get his pacifier, burp cloth or turn his einstein movie on. I hope they continue to like each other....I know they'll have their moments b/c I was an evil knievel to my sister.....but I hope they get over that stage and turn into friends, like I am with my sister now!
